Along with IDC and Canaliz, Counterpoint is another reputable smartphone surveying and publishing company that has recently published its comprehensive year-end report.

The report also confirms that Apple is still at the top of sales, but since a number of other brands are included in the survey, attractive statistics and information can be obtained. These include the decline of Huawei, the good growth of Xiaomi and, of course, the highest profitability by Riley.

Between October and December, Apple sold nearly 82 million iPhones, up 13 percent from the same three months last year. According to Counterpoint, Apple had an 18% market share in the fourth quarter of 2019, giving Samsung the top spot; But by 2020, that share had risen to 21 percent, making the company the largest mobile phone maker.

During this period, Samsung came in second with a 16% share of sales of 62.5 million units, far behind Apple. Now we have to see how Samsung will compete with the best Samsung 2021 phones in the market of the best new year 2021 phones .
